Dr Marten Rowena boot - any good for chunky calves?

I'm looking for a good quality, hardwearing biker boot and love these ones. But I have fairly chunky/muscly calves. Anyone know if these boots are generously sized?

My experience of Dr Marten boots is that they are quite narrow in the calf , I have very muscular calves and I can't get them on/lace them up.

Hmm, shame. I think I'll have to find a stockist where I can try them on. I really love them, maybe I can squeeze into them if I wish really hard!

I have a pair of triumph 1914s which are fabulous winter boots (I have shearling lined ones). I only lace them up part way, so could be good for big calves?

I like those ones Hopefully , have just ordered them to try one.
