Girls' leggings that don't go baggy at the knees

LaBelleDameSansPatience · 18/08/2013 10:07

Has anyone seen any? I have bought from Matalan - loose and baggy - and am not impressed. I have a couple of pairs from France, which fit beautifully, but trips to France to buy leggings are not an option, some others with no labels and can't remember where they came from, so where could I buy some which stay as they were when I bought them? Any ideas, please?

Next are quite rigid and keep their shape

MrsRogerSterling · 18/08/2013 22:16

Dd's have H&M, Next and M&S, all keep their shape and wash well.

On the French theme, Petit Bateau have some good-quality (though pricy) leggings.

Next, Benetton, Boden have all been good for us but I've yet to find a pair of leggings that will do my girls for more than 4 months before the knees go ... although DTs spend half their lives on their knees playing!

mrsyattering · 18/08/2013 22:45

asda, next & h&m all decent

AngelaOxford · 19/08/2013 00:05

Boden are really good and warm for colder days and they also wash well. I find them slightly expensive, but at least I don't have to buy new ones every 2 months!

MrsMeow · 19/08/2013 10:10

H&M are the best we've found - only £4.99 too :)

Whitecat · 19/08/2013 13:11

George are good too.

LaBelleDameSansPatience · 19/08/2013 19:47

Thanks; will try some of these. DD has quite a few Petit Bateau clothes from French grandmother, but rarely useful leggings. £4.99 sounds good!

I managed to get some Boden leggings for around £5 with offers/ sales so keep an eye out! I also got some for £3.99 from GAP, they withstood my daughter learning to crawl and walk.

LaBelleDameSansPatience · 20/08/2013 20:50

Ahh, hadn't thought of GAP!

Asda, at least as good as m&s for mr dd. The least knee baggy leggings I got for me we're primark, but more recent purchases were disappointing.

Minshu · 20/08/2013 20:59

Mr dd was actually my dd Blush

Piffpaffpoff · 20/08/2013 21:07

Polarn o Pyret leggings are great but they are pricey - I get mine at sale time when they become just-about-affordable Smile.

BikeRunSki · 20/08/2013 21:11

Gap are excellent
H&M pretty good
I have found Boden leggings to be awful for both toddler DD and me.
