Sorrel, stat and any other bra gurus, my new bras hurt :(

Got the a few weeks ago so put initial hurtled bits down to just getting the worn in.

I was fitted in bravissimo as a 38hh I have 2 panache Andorra and a candy bliss.

The andorras hurt under boob and on the outside of the wires.

The candy bliss just hurts everywhere. Shoulders, gore, there is back fat. I've tried adjusting them but I. Don't know what I'm doing if I'm honest.

And the candy bliss really emphasises my smaller boob :(

The Candy Bliss doesn't sound a good fit at all. IIWY I'd take the bras back to the store and ask for a fitting check. As they fitted you they will re-fund/exchange with any issue.

I only own on Panache, the Idina Balconette. I love the shape it gives but I do find that the wires dig into the front of my ribs after a few hours of wear.

I'm sure Stats or Married will be along shortly with some more knowledge about these bras.

Thanks sorrel! Bruising isn't normal is it?

No, it really isn't!

I'll send out a klazon for more help.

It may be that they are the wrong shape for you. Both are quite narrow, forward projecting styles and the Andorra has quite long wires which don't suit everyone. Fantasie styles may work better for you if that's the issue.

Definitely go back and ask for a refit, they will take the bras back if you were fitted for them.

I got the andorras fitted, but they had to order the candy bliss in. The fitter did give me a similar one to try (pink and some sort of animal print) and said if that fitted then the candy bliss would too.

It's such a pain to get to, and I'll have to drag ds again. It bloody annoying!

Which fantasie ones would y recommend?

Oh no Glaikit! They will indeed take them back so that's not a problem so I would head back for a refit. Was it the Edin or Glasgow shop?

marriednotdead · 18/08/2013 07:54

It's hard to say without seeing you. I just suggested Fantasie on the theory that their wires are a shallower curve so don't tend to dig in at the sides and centre gore, although they don't give such a pushed together shape IYSWIM. I'm also wondering if they should really have given you 40 bands. Wish I was nearer!

When you go, make an appointment first (ask for a double or they'll only have 20 minutes) and say that you would like one of their more experienced fitters as you are having comfort issues.

GlaikitFizzog · 18/08/2013 09:54

Edinburgh Stat, I though I'd just not adjusted the straps right and you were all going to tell me the solution!

The andorras are probably ok, and only hurt because they are pressing on the candy bliss sore bits. I do bruise easily and have fragile skin.

A 40 band is too big when I do the back to front test. I'm back to work tomorrow so will have to wait until the weekend for a refit.

It's not an exact science is it!

Candy Bliss is rarely a 'diggy' bra unless it's a shape issue. Andorra however... It's sounding more like you need a different approach.
