Can anybody recommend a good brand of shiny nail varnish?

Hi,
Just that, really. Can anybody recommend a good brand of shiny nail varnish? Where the shine lasts well? My nails look piggin' awful in varnish that isn't shiny, and I can't afford any salon manicures with gel or whatever.
Thanks!

Seche Vite is good - buy off amazon for about £6

Top coat is the way to go.

I also think most polishes need two layers to get shiny - the first layer is always a bit more matte.

Guerlain's nail polishes are quite shiny without a top coat and even with just one layer - and they are very good.

Seche vite is a brilliant top coat. I also have a nails inc one that I like.

In terms of shiny nail polish itself I really love the Barry M gelly ones, they're very reasonably priced as well and are often on offer.

yy to topcoat. I like the opi one, with that magic drip dry stuff over the top, as it doesn't dry as quickly as seche vite (but I always feel my varnish chips quicker with seche vote than with opi topcoat).

Glad I asked, ladies! It seems that top coat is the way to go. I like that plan, too, as I have loads of lovely nail colours already - hopefully the top coat will make them all nice and shiny!

Yep, definitely two coats of polish (ideally with base coat under those), then top coat.

I use revlon after reading somewhere they were the dogs pyjamas, and if I do it properly it lasts for a week.

Try OPI they do a fantastic range of colours, also Nail Envy, which strenthens nails and used as a top coat is very glossy.

Bourjois la laque is the shiniest, longest lasting, easiest to apply polish I've ever used. I can easily get about 6 days from 2 coats + top coat ( nails inc Kensington road). People always comment on how glossy the colour is- they look like shellac. Will buy it again... Hth
