All wear white tops, t-shirt , tailored shirts, what ever suits the individual, but white and no makeup.

Wear your favourite outfits of right now, it will date no matter how classic you try to make it. Wear what you feel best in right now and remember how good you felt in it.

I'd let each individual wear what they look nice in and god, do wear make up if you normally do.

I'm not a fan personally of those venture type photos so would try and look as normal as possible.

A friend did some photos of us and the black/white ones of us in white tops were fab!

We took a few items clothing and props.

Rugby shirts/rugby balls
Books
Chess set

Wear something you feel comfortable in. Dont over complicate it. Jeans/cream top/shirt

Wear make up SmileSmileSmile

Your photographer should advise. Pinterest is worth a try as they have lots of family photo outfit suggestions - mainly American- but I am not sure what to search under.
Failing that, think about co-ordinating but not matching colours, eg, a main colour, a secondary and maybe an accent for all the clothes overall. Natural fibres photograph well. No leggings for children (my pet hate.) I don't mind all white tops myself but it's up to you. Make up is fine - even a touch more than you might normally wear.

I'd ask the photographer about the background colour. We've had family photos taken a few times and once or twice there's been a white background. My Mum wore a white top once. It kind of faded into the background and in some of the photos it looks a little bit odd. I'd second wearing makeup and try to make sure that the clothes everyone is wearing don't clash too much.
