What can color can I add? It's a wedding abroad.
My DH is best man and I want to look nice, but I don't know what to put with this dress.Do I mess with a hat/hair piece? I feel the dress needs abit of color.

I am 5 10,fair skin,blonde hair,size 12

Coral or orange would look nice with that colour or a bright pink.

treaclesoda · 14/08/2013 07:58

I love the dress.

treaclesoda · 14/08/2013 08:01

what are you wearing on your feet?

Vintagebeads · 14/08/2013 14:24

I took the liberty of consulting Pinterest on your behalf, and noticed that a lot of ladies wear this type of dress with just similar tones, no contrasting colours and it looks lovely, not drab but chic.

Give pinterest a whirl, you might see someone accessorizing in a way that you want to copy.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 14/08/2013 15:35

No to colour imho. Just v muted with maybe some bits of dull silver Like this If you were feeling brave, a 1920s-esque headband would be gorgeous.

If you must have colour, a really, really muted dusty pink might work.

Vintagebeads · 14/08/2013 17:31

remus I love that look,I have a vintage look beaded head band that would look nice.I didn't even think of it till now.

I guess my worry with adding no color is that it might look a bit bridal...the bride will be my new SIL.

What about mint green like in a ring/bag shoes ?

Agree with remus keep it low key a headband would be perfect.

Boosiehs · 14/08/2013 17:45

I agree that dusky pink would go v well.

Twinklestein · 14/08/2013 17:52

I think silver sandals would be perfect with that dress. I'd go for a silver beaded or nude bag.

You could try a deco one like this

John Lewis have a good selection like this or this

AmberNectarine · 14/08/2013 20:25

Yes, tonal with that dress, silver sandals, beaded clutch, delicate jewellery - maybe a sparkly hair clip?

FamiliesShareGerms · 14/08/2013 20:27

Ooh, the dress is lovely. I would keep accessories simple and similar tones, but maybe a pop of colour on a ring or nail polish (but I always worry about being washed out because I am so pale)

FamiliesShareGerms · 14/08/2013 20:27

Or how about silver nail polish but in a flat matte colour rather than a shiny finish?
