It makes you look like Pat Butcher all silvery.

I also found it too heavy

I gave mine away

NomDePlume · 14/06/2006 11:32

It comes in 3 different formulations

  1. A cream compact
  1. A liquid foundation in a pump bottle
  1. A mousse type formulation in a glass jar

All give the same level of coverage according to the Chanel woman I spoke to, they are just suitable for different skin types. It gives good coverage and lasts, ime. I don't wear it everyday, only for nights out etc, so I don't know what it is like to live with on a daily basis.

noddyholder · 14/06/2006 11:32

Don't like the sound of that!Come to think of it I have seen a lot of that silver skinned looked around

Jools got a sample and we weren't impressed. It didn't give enough coverage we thought - we did one side of face in that and one side of face in Estee Lauder double wear and EL won hands down!

Piffle · 14/06/2006 11:34

I really like it, I mix it with moisturiser to give a very sheer coverage

Carmenere · 14/06/2006 11:34

I like it as it is a fairly sheer look and gives a kind of subtle glow. Not really wearing it much atm because of tan however I will definitely return to it when my tan fades.

Cappucino · 14/06/2006 11:54

they're just scared of the style police

and can't bring themselves to say they're wearing rimmel

and they know no-one can see then Wink

crunchie · 14/06/2006 14:25

It is good foundation that give you a 'fresh' look. I was v v cynical about it but I trued some and was converted to some degree. I use it when I wear makeup eg once or twice a week for meetings. But not for oily/greasy skin.

L'oreal translucide is a good cheap alternative (actually I mix my L'oreal with teh chanel one at the mo)

bran · 14/06/2006 14:33

So does Vitalumiere make you look like the infamous shiney-faced Boden lady then?

CountessDracula · 14/06/2006 14:35

No, like pat butcher

bran · 14/06/2006 14:37

Eastenders is much too low-brow for me CD, I'm not entirely sure what Pat Butcher looks like except for the earrings. Wink

bossykate · 14/06/2006 14:40

i have found i can't wear it now the weather is warmer - it goes too claggy and shiny. plus you have to keep the sponge very clean to get smooth coverage. i have switched to something more mattifying for the hot weather. i found it brilliant in the winter/spring though.

unicorn · 14/06/2006 14:40

well thank to the Countess I shall be showing off my Pat Butcher face tonight.
I think i will need to Tango myself first with some fake tan, and then slap the vitalumiere on for the silver/radiated glow.

CountessDracula · 14/06/2006 14:46

Nowt, i nicked the envelope from work and it cost 33p I think!

CountessDracula · 14/06/2006 14:47

Bran, think John Humphries after sticking his head in a vat of silver paint

satine · 14/06/2006 14:49

I love my cream compact Vitalumiere and have had quite a few compliments since I started wearing it. I thought it might be a bit drying but not at all.
