How to wear a scarf so I don't look like a flight attendant or Russian peasant?

I have been given a beautiful and ££££ scarf - I would love to wear it but have no idea how. It's a square 27''x 27" (70cm). Any ideas?

Thank you. The Wendy look book is really helpful but for a longer scarf. I did find a video for square scarves but some of the ideas are a little mental - platting your hair and scarf together? A turban! Might give those ideas a miss.

Isn't tying it on your handbag a thing? I'm sure I've seen somewhere that actually sells handbags with scarves already tied on them if you can't manage it yourself!
