Just that really! I bought the ones I have before the birth so was convinced by the assistant to buy them in 40dd and surprise surprise they don't fit. No support, really hard to feed in and desperately unsexy!

Any recommendations?

Ta!

Oh...even though they don't fit I have no alternative but to wear them - terrified I'm going to destroy my boobs!

Have you tried bravissimo I got my nursing bras from there last time and will be going there again :)

Canalside · 12/08/2013 17:47

What are your measurements?

I've got some of my bras from bravissimo, and some from www.nursingbra-shop.co.uk/

zimmyzammyzoom · 12/08/2013 18:02

Google Anita nursing bras. I got mine after recommendations on here. They're expensive (about £40) but so comfy and worth it IMO. Worse ones I have are from blooming marvellous, horribly ill fitting and mothercare's m2b not much better.

JennySense · 12/08/2013 18:04

I bought all of mine from www.bras4mums.co.uk great service so much so that I still use them now for my normal bras Grin

FannyFifer · 12/08/2013 18:08

I have never worn nursing bra's, they are horrendous when you have big boobs, the Anita one which everyone raves about was rubbish as well.

A good fitting underwired one, make sure underwire is not pressing anywhere and you'll be fine.

John Lewis especially if your bigger.Lovely supportive nursing bras.Elle McPherson also does sensible ones

WaitingForMe · 12/08/2013 21:37

Another for John Lewis. Loved them.

Thanks all for suggestions. There's a bra measuring thread on here somewhere, will find it and measure myself. ..depending on the result I might even post the outcome!

Fanny how do you feed out and about in a non- nursing bra? Can't be easy to undo and refasten the bra if it doesn't unclip at the shoulder strap?

FannyFifer · 13/08/2013 17:58

Zimmy, depending on the material and style of bra, I would either pull cup down & boob out or underwire up and over boob, all under cover of my top of course.
Balconette style I think it's called has more room for whipping boob out. :-)

Measuring guide here - places bets on you being in the wrong size :)

If you have a Bravissimo then go there but that should get you in the right area if not

BeenieBaby · 13/08/2013 18:29

Another for John Lewis. Won't break the bank and very supportive. Great value for money too.

LoveGigi · 13/08/2013 18:33

this is the bra I lived in and loved through 2 x pregnancies.
