Brown patches on face in the sun ....what cream should I use to avoid please

Last year I went to Spain on my first "sun" holiday (Spain) in 13 years....

I dont think my little face could cope with it ! Grin

I had spf 15 on my face as a moisturiser and was in the shade as much as I could (big hat)

Face was blotchy brown getting ready in the evening (dirty looking) with the pigment patches
.
Going again next week

Any one got a recommendation of what to use......I would like a glow from the sun but just not the patch work quilt look !

Thanks

Try a much higher spf? 30 or above?

Alpha H - Liquid Gold

What Keztrel says - as high a factor as possible. I use 50 but still get a brown patch on my forehead.

as high a factor as you can, reapplied regularly. Don't use anything perfumed either, sounds like you are photosensitive. Factor 15 is 'low' now.

basically you need to keep your face in the shade (big hat) and protected from reflections.

No7 facial sunscreen has anti sun spot protection. Seems to be working for me this year as I don't have as many freckles / brown marks as usual. It comes in factor 30 or 50 and doesn't give me ghostly white face like some other brands I've tried.

Thanks guys .....I think I will try the no7 one then if deweydells you reckon it still allows for a little bit of a summer glow.

But what is Alpha H Liquid Gold ??

Alpha H. Never used it but just googled it for you.

I'd stick with factor 30 if you want a bit of a glow. I use factor 50 in the summer, stay out of the sun and wear as hat as I like to be pale. If you're looking to remove existing pigmentation (rather than prevent new marks) I've also heard that Alpha H works. I haven't tried it myself but I've had good results with Peptabright.

I second no7. It has reduced pigmentation slightly for me and hasn't broken me out like other spfs
