What colour accesories with a dusky lilac dress?

I have a gorgeous lace dress which I have had for about 15 years but only ever worn twice because I have no idea what to wear with it.

I have recently lost a lot of weight so it fits again, and would love to wear it to a christening I have coming up. I need some sort of cardigan or blazer as it's quite strappy, and ideas for shoes and bag colours.

In the past I have worn black but that feels too heavy. What would you stylish people suggest? I am thinking nude or possibly grey, but am pretty clueless.

Silver or cream would work well, I would avoid black, as you said, its a bit heavy. Well done on your weight loss.

I hadn't considered mint. Don't think it would look right tbh as its a very dusky lilac rather than a pastel one. Think tan could work too
