How on earth can I flatten these wild, frizzy bits of hair?!

I have just above shoulder length hair.Around my hairline I have sprouted short wiry clumps. They will not lie flat and after blowdrying it looks awful. There are a few greys which are particularly wiry and stick up. I've just had highlight done which I really like but this tuft is ruining it!!

I've tried frizz ease and lee stafford poker straight stuff bit no help.

Please can someone recommend something that works to give me smooth, flat hair. Not too pricey as I've forked out a bit already! Thanks

I have bits like this, they seem to grow outwards. I can tame them with straighteners but mostly I just look a bit 'wild'.

I have wavy/curly hair and remember a hairdresser telling me all about how curly hair is dry hair because of the open folicles; I'm wondering if grey hair is the same (being wiry/not straight/flat). Would it be worth trying out an intensive care conditioner ONLY on the areas where you have the grey or wiry hair? I'm trying out the methods used on the British Curlies hair forum, ie only rarely shampooing my hair and instead using mild (silicone-free) conditioners to 'wash' it - and my frizz has really disappeared. Someone at work actually complimented me on my hair last week, I don't think that has EVER happened before Grin.

(loving this by the way!)

I have this too - I don't mind the colour of my grey hairs but hate the wiry, flyaway bits. I've been using this for a few weeks now and think it is very good.
