One week to go - motivation and advice please!

Yes, it's that close - summer holiday minus one week! I need to start my prepping and could do with a kick up the jacksie to get myself going. I've been trying to lose wight and have dropped a little but not enough and now need to focus on what I have.

I have the following planned:

Carry on with 30 Day shred each day
Drink water like it's going out of fashion
No wine after the weekend
Gel nails booked for fingers and toes
Body exfoliate booked for day before travel
Try on clothes and check out which bikini hides tummy best

What else can I do please? Worth trying low carb for a week? Any thoughts or advice? I know I'll end up drinking, eating and ignoring any exercise plans when I get there, but I'd really like to look good in a bikini just for a couple of days at least!

I'm on the same countdown as you. Have been at my sisters for last couple of days and eaten fair amount of crap! I've been low carb for over a year and lost over 2 stones. I'm planning to follow the bootcamp (see low carb section on Mumsnet) for this last week to see if I can lose a few pounds before I go. Low carb really helps to reduce tummy bloat if youve a problem with this. I've already been exfoliating and moisturising for months which has made a real difference! Apart from that I'll be getting a decent (self) tan and drinking loads of water - much like you really!

Sounds like low carb is the way to go then, and cutting down on wine also really helps for me. I forgot to mention deforestation, but obviously that will form part of the process, as required...

Oh god deforestation Grin. Every.single.technique I use on my bikini area ends up in a plucked chicken rash!! Ah well I reckon I won't care once I'm there! Have a great holiday!

Yes yes to low carb. 2 weeks to my hols and I've been on bootcamp for a week already - dropped 6 lbs!!!
Other than that - gel nails for toes (never bother with hands I just chip them). Prepare skin with lots of exfoliating and moisturising - maybe a bit of fake tan just before.
