"In creased foreign travel"

Is this referring to what your holiday clothes look like after they have been squodged up in a suitcase for 24 hours?

Bozza · 13/06/2006 11:48

Grin at franny

cod - which style rules are going out? I do agree with you but would argue that they have made women think a bit more about what to wear and try and turn themselves out a bit better.

FrannyandZooey · 13/06/2006 11:49

I like the fact T + S's "no colour with black" rule has been pissed on from a great height.

I don't know what you are talking about package holidays for cod. Ae you saying women in other countries are better dressed and it is rubbing of, or what?

Cod · 13/06/2006 11:50

yes and htat we have to have more clothes for hot temps

erm the shoes wiht shorts thing
also skinny jeans

OP posts:
Carmenere · 13/06/2006 11:52

I think it is partially down to lower end shops such as george and primark stocking better designed stuff. Fashion is affordable now.

Morgan · 13/06/2006 11:52

Think they make some good points like v necks for big chests and rumply/wrap tops over tummies and getting trousers the right length. They have sold an awful lot of books must have some effect......

Bozza · 13/06/2006 11:52

Ah yes am getting the no colour with black and skinny jeans. But what is the shoes with shorts one?

FrannyandZooey · 13/06/2006 12:02

Oh ok so you think we used to look crap in the summer time because we were not geared up for the hot weather?

Yes I think you're right. Not sure if it is package holidays though, it is getting hotter in this country and I think more places are cranking up the heat in winter so people can wear strappy tops and little dresses and stuff. If you go to a restaurant or pub, or even in shops, in a jumper in winter you would swelter. It's crazy.

Enid · 13/06/2006 12:03

yes you are right

I hate it

takes more effort to look fabulous these days as all the old bags have caught up Angry

NotQuiteCockney · 13/06/2006 12:03

The GFU people have been very rude about Trinny lately, quite funny.

Cod · 13/06/2006 12:06

OP posts:
JackieNo · 13/06/2006 12:06

NotQuiteCockney · 13/06/2006 12:15

"Go Fug Yourself". My god, you guys don't know them? \link{http://www.gofugyourself.com\Here}. Very funny, very rude. The Trinny pieces were pretty recent.

Frenchgirl · 13/06/2006 12:20

ermmmmmm what do you mean there is no such thing as classic?
of course there is woman, you are mad!
what about well cut mannish trousers, belt and white shirt?
beige trench coats?
straight jeans (ie Levis 501), cashmere jumpers, white and navy stuff, etc etc

lou33 · 13/06/2006 12:20

well thank goodness the cuts change but the ideas stay the same
that's classic
have to agree about more women looking better (especially larger laydees) and do think a lot is Trinny and Suse inspired plus more affordable fashion
still, loads look insane (thankfully)

BettySpaghetti · 13/06/2006 12:31

I take it that we are pretending that a huge chunk of the female population doesn't exist in this thread (or do you all have special blinkers to blot them out??)

(I am, of course, referring to the female masses who have adorned themselves in every style of England top you can possibly imagine. I hadn't really noticed it until yesterday but they suddenly surrounded me - it was terrifying! Shock -traditional football shirts, vest tops, spaghetti strap tops......they were all there)

Cod · 13/06/2006 12:32

\link{http://www.pranceatron.com/toys/fdspagf.jpg\HUFF well you are HARLDY one to talk }
