Hi,

Will be going to a wedding in Oz when it is the height of their summer - not sure what to buy for the DC's to wear... I had better hurry up though, because I think I will have to buy it now.

Can anyone help please? Vineyard wedding, Melbourne, February. Could be up to 40degC!! DS 6yo, DD 3yo, DS 1yo Any adive on what to wear - has anyone seen a nice summery dress, etc, suitable for wearing to a wedding? Thank you very much (I cannot shop to save my life and don't want to look totally wrong at the wedding!)

Melbourne in February is a pain because it's so unpredictable.

For the kids and for you, go with natural fibres - no synthetics, too hot. For your older DS, smart longish shorts (navy or khaki) and a short sleeved button-down cotton shirt should work. DD will be easy - a cotton dress - and the baby will still be little enough for a play suit or if not a shorts/shirt combo.

For yourself I'd be looking for a sleeveless (but not strapless) knee-length cotton dress. And jumpers/cardigans/wraps for everyone in case of cool evenings / freezing aircon.

We have an Oz wedding coming up but only DS to dress. I was planning nice linen shirts and a short sleeved gingham type shirt and sandals. For a girl I think a floaty sundress would be fine. Monsoon/boden do nice ones.

I think weddings are pretty relaxed dress code wise.
