I thought I'd measured 36/45 doing that bending over thing. Which I thought meant 36GG. I was doing an order from Next so ordered myself a couple of bras. Massively too small. Sent them back. Bit confused.

Ordered some from M&S. Usually wear a 40DD. Ordered 36J in case H was too small too. Massively too big. Band feels ok, tight but can get fingers under it easily enough. Cup is huge, and I mean huge. Spare material at bottom of cup, lots of spare lace at top of cup, even after trying to scoop. Can easily get a hand in there. Boobs are just hanging in them. No support at all. Have put my old M&S 40DD back on and it feels lovely.

I now have no idea what size I am. Am going to take the bras back myself and try some on. Will have to take the dc's with me unfortunately. Not going to be a fun afternoon but will be very pleased if I can find something that bloody fits!

Ok both Next and M&S follow their own sizing system and miss out some letters (eg FF). Therefore a GG isnt really a a GG at all! M&S also come up very small in some styles. Their bras aren't that great for larger cups anyway.

I would suggest trying a 36G/GG in a decent brand (eg Freya, Fantasie, Panache, Cleo, Bravissimo).

Hmm but H may well have fitted, plus you missed out HH and went straight for a J. I am a 30G a 30GG would be pretty large on me and a 30H would be downright ridiculous, pretty much as you describe.

Sadly there is not one bra size that you will be, I measure a 30G and have bras in my drawer that are 30FF, 30G, 30GG, 32F, 32FF, 32G. Different brands and even styles fit in different ways, in the same way that a Topshop 12 is not the same size as a M&S 12.

So yes you do need to try lots on, but make sure they are all from the same brand and style, it is honestly much easier to do this from an online retailer like brastop as you are unlikely to find a huge selection from anywhere on the high street. Then just send everything back that doesn't fit.

Well I've brought home three M&S bras in 38G. They seemed to fit alright.

I have no idea where my nearest Bravissimo would even be. It certainly wouldn't be ten minutes. I'm an hour from the nearest city.

These will do. Thanks anyway! It's so frustrating isn't it? You can't just order stuff if you have no idea what size you are from one shop to the next.
