I trimmed my hair and now the ends feel dry and frizzy

I have past shoulder length curly hair.

The ends can become very dry so I only shampoo my roots and up to midway down and condition the rest daily.

My hair has become very strong over the last few years from following this method and I rarely get split ends. I have trimmed my hair about every 6 months and the ends have been in great shape.

I decided to trim my hair about a week ago taking off about two inches from the ends. I do this myself as I know how to and have never had a problem before. This time however my ends are dry and frizzy after the trim. They were in better shape before the trim and I am a bit baffled as to why this has happened.

Anyone?

The ends have been blunted?

I just had to google blunt hair and I'm not sure if that's what has caused it.

I might however try point cutting it a little to balance it out and see if that helps.
