I know it is early but I can't stop thiking about boots.

I have lost a bit of weight and am getting quite excited about my autumn wardrobe. I know it is barely August but I want to plan what sort of boots to get, even though it may be too early to be more specific. I have already got some flat taupe quite casual ones, some long black suede ones with a bit of a heel, some beige shoe boots with wedge heel and some Hispanita tan leather ones with straps and heels - ankle height. I want one more pair and am town between long heeled boots, something like this the Toast biker type style these ones or- and I haven't got a picture for these - some ankle ones with lots of straps in chunky leather - probably black. Last year a lot of people were saying long boots were a thing of the past, but there were still plenty about. I don't really need long boots for practical reasons and was thinking something chunky and ankle height might look nice with my more girls dresses. Any thoughts?

Much, much prefer the toast ones. In fact I really want those Toast ones!

I'm off to Bath for a look around the shops on 22 August when I'm planning to buy some Duo shoes. I can have a look at the Toast boots while I'm there. I've hesitated over Toast boots before and found them sold out well before the sale, so maybe I'll get in early this time.

I bought some Toast boots in the sale last year and they are fabulous, my favourite boots. Similar to the ones you have mentioned, but shorter. I think I was lucky to get my size in the sale tbh. Great quality.

I disappointed myself by actually buying a pair today. Far far too early! They're from Jones the Bootmakers and were reduced to £65 from £100. Perfect for me ... They're ankle boots, lace up but with a side zip so that the laces don't need to be undone and they're a grey suede battered type look. As its not great weather right now I'm considering wearing the with a jersey casual dress tomorrow ( I'm fond of the ankle boots with dress look )

I also have some fab old top shop pull on ankle boots and a pair of clarks black biker boots. Oh and trusty uggs.

I've got enough boots ; )

I'd go for the Toast ones if I were you
