Just had a perm and need a high street shampoo/conditioner to maintain the expensive lovely curls as long as possible...

Recommendations?

the VO5 stuff in the pink bottle is lovely and cheap as chips too. I have tried everything from Aveda to Sainsburys Basics and the VO5 is much better than many of the more expensive brands.

Not sure it's any good for curls, but I've found that the Schwarzkopf Gliss Total Repair (white bottle with orange lid) is just as good as Redken All Soft.

I've used the shampoo, conditioner and hair mask from both ranges, and I prefer the Schwarzkopf ones as they are just as good as All Soft, but cheaper and smell better.

Have started using Head & Shoulders Apple Shampoo and their separate Apple Conditioner - think it is because of the smell - am pregnant and the apple smell is lush but I also have noticed that my hair seems a lot shinier and bouncier too.

I've got a Tresemme shampoo with Keratin but reading the small print it says it smooths and straightens hair which is the last thing I want. I need something to enhance curls.

Trevor Sorbie shampoos. Recommended by Guardian beauty editor Sali Hughes. Utterly fantastic. Never use conditioner anymore.
