Royal blue dress - tights colour?

I have a lovely royal blue dress which I've never really worn; I'd like to wear it in this hotter spell of weather for work, but due to tablets I'm on, my legs are a mass of bruises - not the most attractive look!

What colour of tights can I wear? (I have skin tone or black opaque at hand, but can pop to the shop before work opens). I will be wearing black court shoes with them.

Thoughts?

I'd go with skin tone for summer.

If you're worried about the bruises showing through, could you apply a bit of Sally Hansen leg makeup before?

DorisShutt · 04/08/2013 21:35

They're more or less gone; just still enough that if I go without, lots of people could comment (it's that sort of a workplace!) and I don't want to have to explain about the tablets IYSWIM!

Hmm yes. Nobody's business. Maybe even just the SH makeup alone while it's warm, it gives a nice even tone.

Nude micronets?

Excuse me for being inquisitive but what sort of tablets give you bruises on your legs?

Keztrel · 05/08/2013 10:35

I wore black opaques and back court shoes with a royal blue dress the other day - it worked well I think.

*black court shoes

Love the combination of royal blue and black - don't think you'd go wrong with black opaques - don't need to be the woolly sort.

True, 40 denier are opaque enough and don't feel too hot (I usually go for 80-100 denier in winter).

Black opaques look odd in summer. The natural micronets sound good

Sorry - they are blood thinners so they themselves don't give bruises; my two year old gives me the bruises which are more frequent due to the tablets IYSWIM.

In the event, it poured with rain so didn't go for the dress; but have invested in light micro mesh tights.

Thanks everyone!
