Could I have opinions on these shoes (for work) please?

I am considering buying these for work (I need a black pair with not too big a heel), but I'm not sure they might look a bit clunky?

Thanks!

I think they look great - very appropriate for work as they are no-nonsense rather than sexy. I might buy a pair myself now!

Thanks getting.

I think that heel height is my limit, I can't walk very well in anything higher!

They are too clunky for my taste, to be honest. Not sure what your budget is, but the Hobbs Alana courts look good and Jones the Bootmaker usually have something classic that's affordable.

spicywalrus · 04/08/2013 22:02

Thanks bunnymother, unfortunately the Hobbs shoes are out of my price range, although they are lovely. Will have a look at Jones the Bootmaker now.

I really like them but I would avoid them if you have either big feet (could then veer into drag queen territory) or chunky legs (I think they would go best with a pair of slender legs).

MintyChops · 05/08/2013 07:18

I think they are clunky. Sorry!

spicywalrus · 05/08/2013 08:35

mysteryfairy I have size 7's and my legs are far from than slender and I think they look a bit clunky too, so I think I will leave them. Thanks everyone for your feedback, it helps!

I think platforms look a bit dated now for some reason. Prefer classic shaped stiletto heel with pointed toe at the moment.

spicywalrus · 05/08/2013 12:23

Thanks bill, I just wish I was a bit better walking in stiletto heels, I need something a bit thicker. Will carry on the search!

I saw these today in Aldo, what do you think? www.aldoshoes.com/uk/women/shoes/low-mid-heels/93966268-bonomi/97

ThePorpoiseofStupidity · 07/08/2013 21:20

They are lovely bunny mother, thanks for the link!

bunnymother · 07/08/2013 21:41

Slightly more helpful than my original post (from my phone, admittedly) saying "nah, I don't like your proposed shoes"... Smile

Monty27 · 07/08/2013 21:45

Perfect, as long as you aren't a hairdresser, or in a profession that entails standing a lot.

If you're desk based they are perfect imo.

MollyBerry · 08/08/2013 00:23

They look lovely while
Also being comfy

BillStickersIsInnocent · 08/08/2013 04:18

I like those Bunny. Aldo shoes are great for me as they seem to be on the narrow side.

ThisIsYourSong · 08/08/2013 07:28

Did you try these? They look really nice

MadBusLady · 08/08/2013 08:46

I just bought these which I totally don't need to be honest, but I have wideish feet and high arches and am so ecstatic when I find a pair of elegant, non-clunky looking shoes that are comfortable and secure on my feet. They have a black version but actually the metallic is much darker and quieter IRL.
