Okay I'm a frumpy SAHM but like all things girly and even I have got to grips with all the guff on BB & CC creams over last couple of years BUT Micellar Solution ? - I saw a tiny piece raving about it and that's it....if I understood correctly they are miracle products that are make up recover/cleanser/toner in 1wipe !

So is this true - if so fab how come they are not being rammed in my face everywhere and if so fab which one do I need to buy?

It's tiny oil molecules suspended in water, without being oily.

I have one from La Roche-Posay (effaclar range) and one from Nuxe, and they're okay. It's easy to use, as you just put it on a cotton pad, and wipe over the face and that's it. You don't have to wipe it off, don't need to rinse, don't need toner or anything else, and it doesn't leave an oily residue on the face.

I'm finding that it does take some effort to get all the makeup off. It doesn't take mascara off that well, and for (a not very good) waterproof mascara, I need an eye makeup remover like Clinique's Take the day off, as the micellar water doesn't work on that at all.

I haven't noticed any stinging or irritation, which I get from quite a few products.

I prefer the Nuxe one over the one from LRP.
The best one is supposed to be from Bioderma, but I haven't tried it yet.

I've got the (I think) L'Oreal one. It's pretty good - I might upgrade to a 'posher' one when it's finished.

I use the Bioderma one , bought it online.
Used to think it was the dogs bolleaux but then watched so now use a balm to clean my skin at night..it has imporved a lot since.

I have the L'Oreal one and like it. It removes eye make up quite well, but maybe not so well as their usual eye make up remover.

I do use another damp ( water) cotton pad afterwards as I have sensitive skin and don't like leaving anything on my skin before I use moisturiser/night creams.
