oh schneebly, these are 3.5 inches

but gorgeous

i am going to be wearing them all day and night

i had kind of thought about black and white shoes, want to brighten up the black a bit?????????????????????????????

OP posts:
schneebly · 12/06/2006 08:25

I like the 1st ones!

schneebly · 12/06/2006 08:26

black and white would be nice because the dress has a bit of a retro feel to it. I also spotted a nice black and white bag on m&s site!

nailpolish · 12/06/2006 08:27

not sure whether to wear a necklace, or maybe just big earrings

OP posts:
handlemecarefully · 12/06/2006 08:27

Couldn't you have a colour to go with the black dress (e.g. red shoes and bag)....

nailpolish · 12/06/2006 08:44

i thought about that hmc but im not sure what it would look like

OP posts:
nailpolish · 12/06/2006 08:48

i cant see a black and white bag on the m&s site

black and white accessories will look brilliant - I have a black and white polka dot clutch bag from Accesorize which I lurve, but they don't seem to do it any more - \link{http://order.next.co.uk/shot.asp?b=X37&p=282&s=1&n=undefined\this} one is pretty close though.

for shoes, both \link{http://www.schuhstore.co.uk/item_main_frameset.asp?s_ref=110609\these} and \link{http://www.schuhstore.co.uk/item_main_frameset.asp?s_ref=110045\these} are magnificent, but heels may be too high for all day and all night - \link{http://www.schuhstore.co.uk/item_main_frameset.asp?s_ref=120366\these} are equally attention-grabbing but lower.
\link{http://www.schuhstore.co.uk/item_main_frameset.asp?s_ref=120401\These} are more subtle, and \link{http://www.schuhstore.co.uk/item_main_frameset.asp?s_ref=120288\these} are cool but might be too retro.

I'd be restrained with jewellery - the dress is so minimal and elegant piling on the bling will detract from it rather than enhance it. Earrings and no necklace I reckon.

(NB the dress will never date so bear in mind the suggestion of coloured accessories for the next occasion you need to wheel it out)

mrs B you are glorious! soooo glad you popped in

i love the bag

the last shoes are fantastic - but could i have them together with the bag????

maybe the bag with plain shoes??

OP posts:
vickiyumyum · 12/06/2006 09:58

they had those shoes in plain black so you could have the spotty handbag. i love those shoes too, am sat here wondering where i would wear them if i brought them! LOL!

tracyk · 12/06/2006 10:00

I'd go plain bag and any of the funky shoes.

MrsBadger · 12/06/2006 10:20

I reckon those button shoes in black and white would go with with the handbag at the very back of the Next photo - plain black with white frame.
You'd probably get more wear out of the plain black shoes though (and I love the two-tone patent-ness), and they're not cheap, so I might do those with the dotty bag.

nailpolish · 12/06/2006 13:17

mrs B

what about the patent shoes with the dotty bag? or do you mean the black and pewter shoes?

i dont like the plain black bag tbh

i am kind of still liking the peep toe black next ones i linked earlier, they are so plain i could go for a patterned bag

i dont know what kind of earrings to get

although these shoes and bag would be nice!

MrsBadger · 12/06/2006 15:03

oh, if you've got such lovely bag and shoe combo already, you should wear them - get a couple of flowery brooches / hairthings in the same colour (green is good), put one in your hair and one on the bag.

Or the get the dotty bag and wear with the old shoes.

do you think this dress would be ok for a wedding (i have a zillion weddings coming up)

maybe if i have something nice and colourful in my hair?

and i dont want to wear a necklace, i like the shape of the neckline (makes my tits look pretty good!) so i thought maybe just a pair of big bling earrings...

OP posts:
nailpolish · 12/06/2006 15:11

oh and annie these shoes are unbelievably comfy (and they did cost a few pennies so i should try and get my moneys worth out of them!)

perfect for weddings - just make sure if it's the same people at every one you wear one strikingly different accessory each time so they don't spot it's the same dress - hat / statement bag / colourful wrap /
