I'm off out tonight. Out out. You know, on the town (cringe) but have no idea what to wear... I'm early 30's, tall and a pear shaped 12/14 (13?) I have fairly good boobs, but the inevitable post baby belly (youngest is 13 months) My problem is I've no idea what people wear out and I'll either be too overdressed or too mutton or try hard or just too casual. The idea is my friend and I have a "Mum's night off" (though they never really exist) and have puddings and a few drinks, she's single (looking)& v.attractive so don't want to put her to shame! The biggest problem? It's tonight so have no time to go shopping! Please can you suggest the kind of "look" I should go for so I can see if I can cobble together an outfit from what I already have?!
Make-up/hair/nail/shoe/jewellery suggestions also vvvvv welcome.... So.... Go....!

Skinnies, dressy top or vest and a blazer with heels if you can handle them? Clutch bag if you own one and either big earrings, big necklace or bracelet/s

Wishfulmakeupping · 02/08/2013 17:41

What's your hair like?
What clothes do you have? I'm thinking along the same lines as onelittlelady

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 02/08/2013 17:42

What have you got? Good jeans, heels and a fabric biker jacket would be a good start.

QueenCadbury · 02/08/2013 17:51

Give us some idea of what you own...

Bibblebobbleparsnip · 02/08/2013 18:39

Oh, thank you so much! I have heels- black patent, navy satin, patent nude- I have skinnys, and a cream coloured suit blazer that might do. Tops.... Would a vest top do? I have a nice coral coloured one (but smarter) or most other colours, but might that look too casual? Dressier tops are- drapy brown one from coast, linen one with cross over but over boobs (but needto watch my bra with that) or sort of grey capsleeved t-shirt with a silky ribbon that goes round the neck iykwim My hair is blonde and boob length- big hair it?
Thank you so much....

Coral vest, cream jacket and nude heels sounds nice.

Wishfulmakeupping · 02/08/2013 18:45

Yes agree with Remus those colours will look fab with blonde hair too. Yy to big hair, lots of lip gloss and accessories :)

Bibblebobbleparsnip · 02/08/2013 18:59

Fab, thanks. Ummmm what accessories? My necklaces are all a bit mumsy- pearls and chunky beads don't I need something long & dangly? And earrings or is that too much?

Wishfulmakeupping · 02/08/2013 19:31

Have you got any chunky bangles or bracelets? Clutch bag

QueenCadbury · 02/08/2013 19:35

Was just about to say what remus has.

If you don't have a necklace to wear could you wrap the pearls/chunky beads ones round your wrist to make a statement bracelet if you don't have one?

Yes to big hair.

Have a fab night.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 02/08/2013 19:43

Pearls as bracelet = genius. Much nicer than a necklace. Have fun!

Bibblebobbleparsnip · 02/08/2013 19:46

Thanks again- am late out because baby won't settle Hmm but have my jeabs& top on adjust drying hair.... Pearl necklace/ bracelet thing sorted - earrings? X

OP posts:
Wishfulmakeupping · 02/08/2013 19:54

I would only go small stud earrings- not dangly- what do others think?

itsallaboutyoubaby · 02/08/2013 19:58

Dunno about the clothes, but you sound gorgeous ;)

Bibblebobbleparsnip · 02/08/2013 20:23

Wishfulmakeupping · 02/08/2013 20:33

Fingers crossed you make it out- I read it as bobbed hair as you have long hair dangly earrings would be good

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 02/08/2013 20:37

Just leave. Both baby and whoever is looking after baby will cope - honestly.

Bibblebobbleparsnip · 03/08/2013 01:16
