Hi

Any ballet pumps I wear seem to make my feet smell, can anyone point me in the direction of non smelly ones?

Thanks

P.S My feet don't smell in other shoes, just ballet pumps so don't think I have generally smelly feet.

I've found buying leather pumps as opposed to synthetic materials and then adding in my own insoles is the only way to combat it.

Thanks, I'll give that a go. I saw some nice plain ones in zara but was reluctant to buy them but will go get them and some insoles!

I have clarks leather ones and my feet seem to be ok...

I agree with buying leather ones. That is what I have to do.

OneLittleLady which brand of insoles do you buy? I got some from Boots (own brand) but they just made the problem worse. Would be interested to try some different ones.

Another for leather and insoles. I usually buy clarks for both.

Dontletthemgetyoudown · 31/07/2013 13:21

you need leather ones. I'd been buying cheap ones from primark, etc for years and they stunk, but brought £30 leather ones from m&s and they have been fine. worn most of the winter and driving the heels haven't worn down and they don't smell.

I wear socks like these: www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B004WXE9QM
They're great!

Thanks everyone.

Will check out Clarks tomorrow Smile

Another vote for leather. Wearing little socks would also help. The best advice I have is to not wear the same shoes two days running. If you can alternate wear it gives them a chance to dry out and reduces the bacterial growth which makes the smell.

Just wanted to come back and let OP know that I got some of the Clarks insoles, £5.50 a pair and they're great. Did you manage to get some OP?
Thanks to everyone for the suggestion.

Sorry, was away for the weekend.

I got some Clarks insoles and have cleaned a pair of zara leather pumps I love but had stopped wearing because of the smell issue. So far so good with the insoles and I am hoping to buy another pair of pumps and some more insoles so fingers crossed!

Thanks for your help everyone Smile
