brazilian blow dry at home for bouncy voluminous hair and not poker straight hair.

is this possible?

All the keratin treatment threads I've read have been about brazilian straightening of hair.

I don't want straight hair.

I want bouncy hair with a bit of a wave and some volume, but nice and smooth. my actual hair is wavy, fine but frizzy.

So, can I do the brazialin home thing and get volume? If so how??

Bump - I want to know if this is possible too

The amazon keratin treatment achieved that for me; got rid of frizz but didn't flatten my hair out at all.

Could someone linkie to this wonder product please?

BitchyRestingFace · 29/07/2013 16:54

It isn't really a straightening treatment, more of a very effective de-frizzer and sleekifier. On my hair (frizzy, heat-damaged, straightish but with a natural wave if left to dry naturally) it removed all of the frizz and just made my hair swishy, glossy and shampoo-advert-y. If I wanted it straight I still had to straighten it. Next time I use it (will be doing it this week probably) I'm going to try BBHing it once the three days are up.

Linkie please? There are loads of different keratin products on amazon

PoppyAmex · 29/07/2013 18:30

It's this one

EuphemiaLennox · 29/07/2013 20:24

Really? It says straightening and most people on the other threadseemed to be talking about straightness and many mentioning a 'flatness'.

I am tempted to try this before I go on holiday but pancakeflat poker straight hair really doesn't suit me.

My hair is too fine and face too fat.

My hair is very loosely wavy and a bit kinky and it didn't go flat (or straight) at all, it just became very smooth and 100% frizz free.

Not entirely sure that would be the result for everyone though.

Chubfuddler · 29/07/2013 20:48

I'm a bit sceptical based on the reviews on amazon, they all seem to have very curly hair and want it straight. Mine is just frizzy when damp and needs a deep conditioning treatment really. I think I'll pass.

Thought I'd update this.

I bought the Brazilian keratin one from the other thread.

I put it on yesterday morning, dried and used straighteners, but to do the flicky out and under thing that makes my hair bouncy and voluminous.

So hair is now slightly wavy, but smooth. I reapplied straighteners this morning but just added more flicky bounciness.

It's starting to feel a bit limp and greasy but I'll get through tomorrow and wash on Saturday morning.

I'll report back whether I get silky bouncy volume or poker straight limpness. Or something else.

Marking place to hear your results OP. My hair is in desperate need of some help at the minute, so frizzy but I do not like poker straight/flat hair on me.

AngieM2 · 09/08/2013 09:40

Did mine yesterday - first time. I have fairly long straight hair but prone to frizz. Was lovely and slick and swishy when i did it. Have woke up with just the sides sticking out a bit so will have a quick all over straighten. Roll on Sunday! Going to town in a minute to buy dry shampoo.
