I hand wash all my silk work shirts from Jigsaw, they turn out fine....I just cannot be done with the hassle, logistics and expense of dry cleaning silk shirts that need cleaning every time it's been worn for a day. Hth.

I use the pink Woolite!

I bought a French Connection silk top that is dry clean only

I've washed it half a dozen times so far in the machine on the cool hand wash setting on a slower spin speed.

Hang it on a plastic coat hanger to dry

Comes out fine every time

I have a dry clean only silk shirt from Jaeger, sale bargain, didn't read the label.

Washed it by hand a few times, then today washed in on a delicate wash with woollite in the machine (in a pillow case). It's drying now but seems absolutely fine.

I would only dry clean something like a winter wool coat, or something with lots of delicate beading.

I always wash my silk shirts in the machine on a cold wash. They come out perfect every time.

Should be ok - the main thing of course is to only use a non-bio detergent so woolite is great but any non-bio should be ok - I use fairy. And as you say, cold and I'd def do it separately as it may well run a bit.
