Straw cowboy hats

i quite like but every time I see someone in one (or any cowboy hat) I always think what an arsehole they look

How can I reconcile these two feelings?

can't see a denim one on mine - only a multi shell trim paper floppy one

why is this country so anti-headgear? It's like winter, it's frickin' cold and snowy but if you have the audacity to try and wear a hat, everyone stares or snickers. (Mind you, that's probaly cos i look like a complete burk in any hat )

I really want a summer hat - not just for holiday wear, but I know I will have the piss taken out of me in the playground...
