They keep sending me a catalogue for some reason but I've never heard of them.

Never heard of them. But I love the fact that on their website they have a category called "SKIRTS & SHORTS MENS"

Snort!

YellowFeathers · 09/06/2006 19:33

I never noticed that Grin

ive got stuff from them, its nice, comes up small though.

fullmoonfiend · 09/06/2006 20:03

I really like their stuff - but suspect I am getting too old to wear it :(
I bought lovely lineen drawsring trews from them last year and a fabby vest top which everyone admires.

I am toying with the turqoisy summer dress thingy, but worry it might be too short...

fullmoonfiend · 09/06/2006 20:05

oh, but must add their sales are fabby when they have them. Some real bargains!

zoeuk1 · 11/06/2006 12:56

i have the catalogue. ive never bought anything but like some of the stuff they have.

BettySpaghetti · 11/06/2006 13:50

We get a catalogue through from them every now and again -not sure why or how as we're really careful in avoiding junk mail.

(suspect I may be a bit too old to get away with most of it though Sad)

Whizzz · 11/06/2006 14:10

I got a catalogue too - reminds me of Fat Face (which I love) but cheaper. Anyone know waht the quality is like ??

Twiglett · 11/06/2006 14:11

yes DH got loads from there a couple of years back .. must say though I don't like any of their stuff this catalogue

Twiglett · 11/06/2006 14:12

sorry .. quality good .. dh's t-shirts still going strong

TooTicky · 11/06/2006 14:17

Some interesting stuff but all their trousers are made for people with unnecessarily long legs.

Whizzz · 11/06/2006 15:41

Ooo long leg trousers - good ! Grin

fullmoonfiend · 11/06/2006 20:20

Beety, how old are you? (I'm 36, but look much younger. At least, erm 35 Grin

fullmoonfiend · 11/06/2006 20:20

sorry, meant Betty...Blush

peachygirl · 11/06/2006 20:25

OMG I was going to post a thread on this. I quite like the look of a couple of the camisoles, but wondered about size and quality

BettySpaghetti · 11/06/2006 20:25

I'm 39 Shock

I certainly don't dress in frumpy old lady clothes but at the same time (maybe because I'm coming up to 40) I'm becoming increasingly aware that I don't want to look like mutton dressed as lamb!

fullmoonfiend · 11/06/2006 20:27

I have bought a t-shirt for DH, linen trousers and a vest-top for me all last year and they have all washed really well and still look great. someone said they found the sizing small, but my trousers were actually a little generous for an 8, though the vest was perfect and dh's t-shirt (XL) was perfect fit too.

robinpud · 11/06/2006 20:28

I buy a lot of dh's stuff from there. He is long and lean and the stuff fits him really well and has washed well. I have had a couple of girl's things and the quality is ok, a cheaper version of white stuff or fat face.

robinpud · 11/06/2006 20:28

Oh, meant to say that delivery is painfully slow whenver I have ordered.

fullmoonfiend · 11/06/2006 20:31

Sigh, I know, Betty. I'm not a chic or sophisticated person but I'm terrified of looking like an ageing hippy or '15 from behind, 51 from the front' :). My best friends and dh all say I'm young enough to get away with what I wear - but then, they're not chic and sophisticated either so...how will I know when I do start to look mutton???

BettySpaghetti · 11/06/2006 20:34

Do you think people come up and whisper it in your ear- "excuse me dear, hope you don't mind me saying , but you do look rather mutton dressed as lamb" Wink

DP calls it "mutton dressed as pig" Grin

fullmoonfiend · 11/06/2006 20:36

I'd be grateful if they did! Can you imagine...The Mutton Squad; here to protect our streets from the shame that is....women not dressing appropriately for their age.

BettySpaghetti · 11/06/2006 20:41

LOL! like the sound of the Mutton Squad! Their first stop should be our neighbour who wears the same style of clothes as her 18 year old daughter and frequently flaunts herself in a bikini!

tortoise · 11/06/2006 20:41

Ive often looked but not bought anything yet.I love the pink summer dress but think i may be too fat still to wear it.Sad

southeastastra · 11/06/2006 20:43

fullmoon they probably came up small because im size 14! would love to be an 8. i buy from there sometimes but don't mind looking like an aged hippy Smile
