I'm really struggling to find nice day dresses at the moment, there are lots out there that I like but they all come up too long for me. I'm 5'2", a curvy size 10 and have pretty good legs, and I want dresses that hit just above or a couple of inches above the knee. Most I've tried, though, seem to come a couple of cm below the knee which just makes me look awful - shorter (and don't get me wrong, I like being petite, but I don't want to look stumpy), wider-of-leg and older (I'm 29 and want to look it).
So, has anyone come across any nice short day dresses? I like fairly simple cuts with no frills or flounces, cotton or jersey, I quite like wrap or crossover tops and can't make a cowl neck work to save my life (g cup, just looks stupid).
I just ordered a couple from Great Plains which are lovely but too long, and am debating whether it would be possible to turn them up or if it would ruin the cut, and tried a couple of nice ones in Monsoon which came to mid-calf.
Help!
