what about \link{http://www.weddinghair.com/html04/lh/lh05.html\this}

Gillian76 · 08/06/2006 12:58

Up or down?

chapsmum · 08/06/2006 12:59

I really like it but have a bit a tiara thingy that might not sit on top!
My hair is naturally curly but I staighten it...maybe curls would be nice?

cannot decide gillin. I wear my hair back all the time, but I if I wear it down and straight I am sure it will frizz!!

like the girl in the middle with the brown hair but also the big blonde picture, but that looks like it will fall out if I fart!

curls would be lovely, esp if you have a wide dress (IYKWIM - big skirt, not suggesting you are wide!)

MamaG · 08/06/2006 13:03

I was told not to have something too different from normal style or I wouldn't feel like me.

i had straighened "down" hair, with front section pulled back, tiara on top, then a small plait of the pulled back hair down the back, she put these little pearl clips in too which looked really pretty (I got them from Clares Accessories!!)

If you are worried your h air might frizz, maybe think of a simple "up" do, with some curls to frame your face? You want to be able to relax as much as poss, not be worrying about you hair!

chapsmum · 08/06/2006 13:03

lol
had a panick cause I whent for my dress fitting and it is 2 sizes too big!! argghh

MamaG · 08/06/2006 13:03

The style in the middle is lovely, not too formal and there are probably lots of hidden clips to stop it flaling out! My hair was similar, but straight :)

chapsmum · 08/06/2006 13:04

that sound beautiful mamaG!!

smack 'wedding hair' into Google - you'll be overwhelmed!

How formal is wedding? if cathedral or similarly formal, definitely updo, otherwise I think half-up looks very good with strapless dress. Are you having a veil?

My hair is longish and straightish and I had it like \link{http://groups.msn.com/_Secure/0WADhAvsb5AIS6R4dI0!wnt!uGoJcf3JZz5UIXR6BLscgGjSoyXvc3cuOLHU8MV9xqUUJIV4DdyyObgAg1KFI3bHz41qWw92AhE7A1Q0LCgGmfYH5oLBIgyGMkUKUSgAAAP****8/perfect%20hair.jpg?dc=4675575919173938028\this} - everyone now seems to have side partings and/or tiaras but neither suited me at all - I just had a couple of flowers stuck in at the back.

chapsmum · 08/06/2006 13:08

\link{http://www.realhairstyles.com/hairdohairstyle9.shtml\google triumphs again!!!} Grin

I am having a veil and am using my friend tiara but to be honest am thinking of doiing with out one. am probably quite like you in that I dont really suit them.

Strapless dress? I think your hair down, soft curls and the front swept back to give you something to put your tiara on.

chapsmum · 08/06/2006 13:23

think you are right...GHD curls perhaps, I have a phobia of rollers!!!

OP posts:
bundle · 08/06/2006 13:25

i had my hair - which is long, thick, dark and wavyish - up, in sort of little pin curl things (99 clips!) that really shone on the day.. with a couple of wispy bits at the sides to soften. it was really gorgeous and so well done it didn't wobble at all (v camp man at toni & guy did it)

Hollyboo · 08/06/2006 13:26

GHD curls are really nice and loose, not like the auld granny rollers!!

Frenchgirl · 08/06/2006 13:26

agree with the soft curl hair down thing, and also would avoid tiaras, but that's a personal thing I guess, I find them very footballers' wives
have fun tonight!!

chapsmum · 08/06/2006 13:27

did you get hair headache bundle??

I didn't have a veil - felt really silly in it! My tiara was all pearls rather than diamonds and it was beautiful! It really finished off the look. My dress was strapless too - I didn't wear a necklace, but wore really nice dangly earrings instead.

MamaG · 08/06/2006 13:29

OMG I'm so me me me Shock

Didn't mean ot sound like that, just that your dress sounds v similar to mine...!

anchovies · 08/06/2006 13:35

My wedding hair is \link{http://www.members.lycos.co.uk/wedding18sept04/\here} (click on photos then the day) My sister had something similar and it looked much nicer cos she's got more hair than me!

Hollyboo · 08/06/2006 13:35

Oh just to add, my friends veil fell off so many times on her wedding day that it got chucked behind a chair.

chapsmum · 08/06/2006 13:42

mamaG not at all was just about to say that sounded v classy!

Anchovies, how stunning are you??? those photos are beautiful!

Holly, can see that happening to mine...well worth £170!!!
