Bra people - I think I'm measuring a 40H, surely can't be right???

Right, I've measured my band as 41", so am rounding down to 40 band, and I'm measuring 52" round my boobs, so I think that makes me a 40H right? I've been wearing a 44DD!

I am tempted to order some new bras, shall I go for it?

It would certainly be a good place to start!

My boobs really don't look big enough to be a H cup... Out of interest, where did the "adding 4/5 inches" come from? As my catalogue still recommends that.

The ark :) It dates back a long way and the majority of online charts do still recommend it, but it's nonsense. I'm a 30HH, and most people would never guess. I look busty, but most people if you say "guess my size" manage to get to F at most. The press just outright lies about bra sizes too which doesn't help matters. They like to portray every big boobed woman as a "DD" and its generally a load of mince!

What do you know, just measured my bra and it does measure 44 inches! I feel like my eyes have been opened!

Try that size to start, but if you are very squashy of torso then you may find that you need to go down to a 38 back and up again in the cup.

I measure 36.5/37 but actually wear a 34 back because I am quite squidgey.

Don't forget to scoop :)

I am, er, a bit squishy!
