Undies for girls - does anywhere sell "proper" bumcovering knickers?

dd mostly wears girlboxer shape undies. however, even a size up, they don't seem to cover everything they're supposed to (this isn't the most ladylike of girls, you may have guessed) and yes she often chooses to wear cycle shorts under school dresses and skirts.

normal knickers aka "briefs" are generally just too, erm, brief.
Wise mners, tell me where to buy please? we are talking completely averagely sized 8yo.

your best bet for that type of thing is to go for asda, primark etc, depends wat she is after. i had to shop for a younger sister lol so know what u mean.

I recommend H&M's 3 pack girls' boxer shorts. You can see them online, not like typical boxers but snug short shorts and they are brill for my dd who is always flashing her pants. I keep them, and bought they specifically for under skirts and dresses. They wash brilliantly too.

ooh that sounds great decanter. just what we need Smile
we have had mostly asda girlboxers til now (they show a bit of erm cheek but are the best of a bad lot) and m&s are teeny. my mother says she needs granny knickers Grin

Boden.

Stupidly expensive, but thick, sturdy cotton, come right up to the belly button. Wash and wear amazingly.

MrsShrek3 · 20/07/2013 21:52

thanks muchly
will investigate. m&s don't have anything instore remotely suitable, bit assuming you can order online I will check it out. Also goldplated Boden Grin (and wait for a sale Wink )

H&M boxer shorts recommended from me too, I wear them as well as the dds the most comfy and bum covering knickers ever.

M and s do some sturdy high ones but you have to look. They are in a 5 pack and come up to tummy button. They are cheaper than their fancier ones because they are quite simple and plain, subtle stripes etc.

MrsShrek3 · 20/07/2013 22:55

I foresee a H&M trip tomorrowWink

They are really good value for money, last for ages! I think some of mine were about 6 years old before the cotton gave way Grin
