I bought an Origins moisturiser last August and have barley used it since it appeara to be to heavy on my skin (it has a highish SPF). I triwd again and it made my face look like an oil slick.

A few years nack I was told by an EL SA that even if you have used a product and arent satisfied tou can take it back.

I mentioned it to a friend and the about the moisturiser and I said I wasnt sure if this was policy and that given the time even if it was it woukd be cheeky.

Can anyone advise?

I doubt they meant 12 months later though, I'm sure they'd have been happy to do that within a few weeks but a whole year is a bit brass neck

Really??

You want to take a moisturiser back a year later?

Really??

I spent 7 years working for clinique which is part of lauder.

Admittedly I haven't worked for them for 3 years so it could have changed but essentially we could refund anything or exchange it under the proviso of "customer goodwill" in order to keep a customer.

However, given the product is very nearly a year old I don't think you'd have much luck. They could argue it's the way you stored it for example or even that the product has separated due to age.

No harm in asking though.

When I worked for them we would suggest replacing any products with spf every year anyway as they are prone to separation problems (oil as you said) and also the spf quality can decline over time.
