I only have £100 to get holiday wardrobe for me, 3 year old and a baby. Anyone point me in the right direction?

So we're going to Spain next month; basically we can't afford it but family are paying for us to go with them.

We have £100 to spend on clothes - and that means full holiday wardrobe for me, a 3 year old girl and a 1 year old boy.

Where do we reckon I can get the most for my money? Primark? It doesn't have to be quality, it can all get dumped after the holiday as they won't fit into it next summer anyway.

Anyone got any great ideas!

Primark vest tops are great and really cheap. Treat yourself to one dress either in the sales or on ebay. Don't worry too much about the kids they don't need to wear much when it's hot but make sure they have got swim suits. (try matalan). Have a great holiday.

H&M often do v v cheap cotton dresses at this time of year and very cheap shorts and t-shirts for little ones. The little ones will need less than you expect, especially if you don't mind rinsing things through in the evenings to dry overnight.

charity shops/ebay/hand-me-downs from a friend for children?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 17/07/2013 21:39

Here

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 17/07/2013 21:41

Do you mind viscose?

Judyandherdreamofhorses · 17/07/2013 21:41

H&M and supermarkets for the children. Although I've had most of DD's summer clothes from jumble sales and charity shops this year. Family seem to like buying baby DS clothes, so he's easier!

shrinkingnora · 17/07/2013 21:41

Asda. Really cheap offers of stuff that lasts pretty well.

shrinkingnora · 17/07/2013 21:42

Also, I was at a boot sale the other day and lots of kids clothes for 5p an item!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 17/07/2013 21:42

Shorts

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 17/07/2013 21:44

For dd

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 17/07/2013 21:45

Shorts for dd

Wereonourway · 17/07/2013 21:48

I've just returned from a holiday with ds who is 2.5. Three words for you. Primark primark primark!

I got him stuff from next with vouchers, the rest from primark and tescos.

T shirts for my ds were £1.50 each, shorts 2 for 6 quid.

My clothes were mainly primark and h and m.

Enjoy your holiday!

Jacksterbear · 17/07/2013 21:52

Primark have some really nice girls' summer stuff still in store; I bought 2.9 yo dd some nice holiday things there this week including a £2.50 swimsuit. I have also ordered from h&m online (in fact dd has that dress and shorts from remus' link! Grin) but if ordering online check delivery dates as sometimes when you come to check out, you find that half the items in your basket won't be available for several weeks.

Jacksterbear · 17/07/2013 21:57

Ooh forgot to say I also bought myself a floaty white top for £2 and a lovely striped maxi dress for £10, in Primark.

BornToFolk · 17/07/2013 21:58

H&M have a sale on at the moment and if you search around online you'll probably find money off codes.

I've got this t-shirt dress in blue. I bought it in the shop for £7.99 but they only see to have beige left on-line. It is £4 though! It's loose and cool, a very nice beach cover up.

As well as the dress that Remus linked to upthread, they also have these for £2.

Hope you have a lovely holiday!

FoxyRevenger · 17/07/2013 22:00

Aha, I knew Primark would be the consensus! Forgot about Asda though, that's a good shout too.

Remus that stuff from H&M looks great, 3 quid each!

Will get shopping at the weekend. Thanks everyone :)

Tesco have some quite nice adult stuff.

glenthebattleostrich · 17/07/2013 22:01

If you have a look on the Christmas Bargains thread there is a £5 off code and a free delivery code for H&M (saves you almost £10) and they have loads of shorts / t shirts / vests and dresses for all of you (the boys might not like the dresses!!) and swimming costumes for a couple of quid.

FoxyRevenger · 17/07/2013 22:01

BornTo that dress is really good for 4 pounds, like you say, great for the beach to cover up my unfortunate 2 children in 2 years stomach...

DD will love that butterfly dress too...

Here is the Primark maxi dress (I got it in navy/red).

FoxyRevenger · 17/07/2013 22:08

Jackster that's really nice but I fear me and horizontal stripes will never be friends...

FoxyRevenger · 17/07/2013 22:09

Oh really? Thanks Glen I'll check that out tomorrow. Sadly, it is bed time.

Wereonourway · 17/07/2013 22:10

And don't get too much foxy, ds wore half of what I took but thankfully it will last him months, well it will while its warm!!

If your dd was a ds I could send all in one swimsuits to you!

FoxyRevenger · 18/07/2013 12:59

ah that's a kind thought Were you're right about not taking too much though. We're in an apartment so can easily wash things.

FoxyRevenger · 18/07/2013 13:26
