Its my 5th wedding anniversary on Friday and I'm taking dh out for dinner. I'm a 25 year old mum of of 2 under 2 and normally i'm a jeans and t-shirt kinda woman with sick and snot for decoration, but the mumsnet swears by just landed in my inbox and I accidentally bought the oasis maxi dress!

Its arriving tomorrow and I have no idea what to wear it with! were not really going anywhere special, were going to centre parcs so nothing too dressy, I have a next white denim jacket I can wear if its cooler.

But what shoes do I wear? heals? flats? is the dress going to drag on the floor I'm 5 4 so not tall.

What have I done! Dh isnt even going to recognise me in a long dress! Blush

Hope that was a typo!
Not seen the dress itself, but I think gorgeous flats look good with maxi dresses. Sparkly pretty flip flops or similar. Try Tesco. And then you don't have to worry about falling over even if you get caught up in the material ... Seriously, if you think its too long can you do a little hemming?

Lol I hadn't even noticed Blush yes, most definitely a typo!
I could do a little hemming, but it's arriving sometime I morrow, I have blood tests and a ballet class (dd's not mine!) I have 2 children to pack of to bananas for the weekend and myself to pack for too (assuming for a second dh will get himself organised!) I can't see that I'm going to have time!
Flats sound good tho, I need to find some nice ones, off to tesco this evening!

I would go with gold or bronze coloured gladiator-style sandals, and a few cheap bangles in similar shades stacked on both wrists. Simple yet stylish.
