Outdoor gig - no idea what to wear

I'm heading to an outdoor gig on Saturday and have no idea what to wear. I was expecting it to be the usual summer weather and had been planning to just go in jeans, wellies and rain jacket. I don't have a sun-shiney back up! Any suggestions?

I'm early thirties, size 12-14 if that helps.

Something that won't get ruined when the bottles of pee start flying.

Jeans, vest and converse/sandals/something else?

AgathaF · 15/07/2013 21:42

Who are you going to see?

I would wear a solid shoe rather than sandals eg converse as ground can still get grotty even if dry.
Other than that what do you usually wear on a day out in this heat?
Take a cardy/leggings(if wearing dress/skirt) in case it gets cold later.
I would wear a vest, cut offs or jeans, sun hat, but a lot of people will be in tiny dresses or hotpants.

Take a cover up for too much sun/chilly night air.

cocolepew · 15/07/2013 21:46

Oh and sun hat.

Cheap, cool dress. Shoes that can't fall off. along the lines of this and these, I'd say. Cardy for later.

Hat, hell yes.

Shorts are so damned uncomfy. Evil things.

Going to see Bruce Springsteen so crowd will be a mix of ages. Will prob wear converse on feet as I tend to get trampled at these things Grin. Jeans and a nice vest top then maybe? Thanks for suggestions.

I guess you will get there early evening so jeans and vest top sound ideal. take a light cover up depending on weather. Though if its hot like this you won't need one

Wear very comfy shoes that aren't tight as he is on for over 3 hours.

I went to see him last month Smile and there was a good mix of ages. My feet were aching at the end as my shoes felt quite tight which will be worse in this heat.

Enjoy.

I would go for shorts and a vest or crop top if the weather stays like this - it really isn't that much cooler in the evening.

Wear comfy shoes - we saw him last month and he played for 3 1/2 hours!!!! I wore jeans, a vest top and took a checked shirt to cover up with later, and biker boots as I knew we'd be doing a lot of walking/standing. The crowd was really mixed in terms of age/style, so you can pretty much wear whatever you want!

He was absolutely brilliant, enjoy!!!!

Last gig I went to in similar weather I wore comfy shorts (they do exist! cost a fortune though), simple top and most importantly hiking shoes (light Meindl ones). I also took a fleece jacket for the evening but I don't think it cools down that much at night now.

The shoes saved me. I went for comfort over style and so did most people there. Enjoy it!
