Alternatives to a swimsuit or shorts for watersports (REALLY bad varicose veins)

I really want to try some watersports but am held back from having to wear board shorts or a swimsuit, I have a really bad leg due to previous DVTs so you can not convince me otherwise!
I was thinking maybe I could wear leggings?? And???

Water sports in a hot climate or uk? If uk wear a wetsuit but seriously no one will give a shit about your legs.

A wetsuit, or leggings and a rash vest

toastedteacake · 15/07/2013 20:52

lightweight running tights?

There's this sort of thing which is £££ Speedo store.speedo.co.uk/p/legsuits/womens-incense-long-leg-swimsuit/802486

Or this direct.asda.com/george/womens-swimwear/full-length-3-piece-floral-print-swimwear/G004250078,default,pd.html ; apparently the hood is removable

I'd have thought ordinary leggings would get waterlogged, stretch and weigh you down so probably if you want to have leg covering then you'd be wanting swimsuity material

Imusteatmoredoughnuts · 15/07/2013 20:56

Ah, rash vest...never thought of that Confused running leggings good idea too, will take a look!
