Find me a yellow dress please!

I've spent a few stuffy hours today online and in the shops looking for a yellow or lemon dress, but have so far got nowhere. I've seen a few, but nothing that I've really liked at all.
Can anyone help please? I'm a size 6/8 and would prefer it to be £60 or under ideally. It's not for a particular occasion so I'm flexible about style, although I don't really want a body com style and midi dresses don't suit me for some reason.

Just over budget but lovely if you don't mind polyester.

Topshop

The Somerset range by Alice Temperly at John Lewis seem to have gone mad for yellow dresses. They are expensive but I noticed a couple had lost tiny buttons that would be easy to replace and they had put these at half price which would put them in the price range you are thinking of.

Reiss I like this.

MrsLettuce · 15/07/2013 20:00

maybe?
this? If the link goes wonky then search Fearne Shift Dress
very yellow indeed

AlwaysSleepingBeauty · 15/07/2013 20:00

Many thanks to you both. I especially like that Topshop one so far, I don't know how I hadn't spotted it actually.

One of the concessions in New Look has several yellow dresses in various shades

spicywalrus · 15/07/2013 20:11

This is quite nice.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 15/07/2013 20:16

Cute and 100% cotton too.

AlwaysSleepingBeauty · 15/07/2013 20:17

Thanks everyone, I really like the Reiss one too. I'm very fair so a softer yellow probably suits me best. I was starting think it must be a really unpopular colour!

I've been looking for a yellow skirt for at least a year, to no avail. :(

AlwaysSleepingBeauty · 15/07/2013 20:28

I've just seen this if it helps at all, I'm quite tempted to buy it myself m.newlook.com/mcs/publish/4923/76718?prodid=284059185&cat=cat10002&name=Womens

very pale yellow floaty job?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 15/07/2013 20:32

Thanks, Always. Too 'pretty pretty' though. Basically what I'm after is one like the Whistles Carrie skirts from a couple of seasons ago. They currently have one in khaki, which I'm tempted by - but I really want bright yellow (and a bit shorter than the Whistles one).

MrsLettuce · 15/07/2013 20:35

Like this remus?

MrsLettuce · 15/07/2013 20:38

brighter but too long

Any good for you OP?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 15/07/2013 20:41

It's nice, but I want more casual. That one is very shiny.

I like this but a) it's polyester and b) I want it from a shop I can just walk into.

Just found this which is perfect shape-wise but too flame-inducing fabric-wise.

AlwaysSleepingBeauty · 15/07/2013 20:42

I love that Trollied Dolly one MrsLettuce it's going on the short list !

MrsLettuce I love those midi skirts from ASOS, was contemplating on getting one, but I don't think it will love me.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 15/07/2013 20:50

Ooh I like this. Will investigate in-store at the weekend.

AlwaysSleepingBeauty · 15/07/2013 20:51

I agree about the pleated midi skirts, they are gorgeous. I look terrible in midi length myself though, I just can't put my finger on why.

OP posts:
RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 15/07/2013 20:53

The pleated skirts suit me, so long as they fall just slightly below the knee rather than full on midi. I have a black one which gets more positive comments than anything else I own (and it is very, very old and was very, very cheap and is very, very polyester!). :)

MrsLettuce · 15/07/2013 20:58

I love that one too Beauty. YOu might like this too, Prefer the TD one meself. THis is horribly over budget but great

Walrus - I refused to wear skirts, they aren;t kind to me at all, a dress with a belt is fine though Hmm
