What do I wear to my birthday party?

I have a significant birthday soon. I am having a party, but don't know what to wear!
I had a baby 6 months ago & am breastfeeding & carry all my weight around my middle.

I did buy a breastfeeding dress but think its going to be too hot & its not very summery looking. I don't really want to spend more than £30.

Please help...

What size are we looking for?

MrsLettuce · 15/07/2013 20:11

(because of the sales)

MrsLettuce · 15/07/2013 20:16

this is 45 but silk. Cross front closes with a popper and there's pattern to hide splashes. It is short on the model but likely longer on a 'normal' mortal.

Thank you for replying Mrs Lettuce! Im a size 14. Thanks also for the link, but I think its a bit short for me.

How significant?

Colour preferences? Good and less good body parts?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 15/07/2013 21:04

Oh and day or night? At home or out?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 15/07/2013 21:06

Love thisand it's a bargain for silk, but not sure how bf or tummy friendly it might prove.

MrsLettuce · 15/07/2013 21:07

blue? Looks a bit lumpen here but looking much beeter on google images
40 but love;ly

tuliparcher · 15/07/2013 21:21

Im going to be 40, other half is organising a party. I think its in the evening, but don't know any more details! I don't think itll be very posh.

My main problem area is my stomach. Im not keen on my bingo wings, but its too hot to keep them covered.

I liked the mosaic dress but it doesn't look v breastfeeding friendly!

This is a maternity one but I like it a lot Over budget though.

Would you consider separates? Maybe a really nice skirt and a plain top?

MrsLettuce · 15/07/2013 21:41

lace, button front. pale but somehow maybe not os summery
love this in both colours but it's certainly marmite
peach??? the buttons are real, easier to see on the black one
not 100% on the buttons but they do llok right
bright floral
red. too casual?

tuliparcher · 15/07/2013 22:00

Wow you're all brilliant, you've certainly given me something to think about! Thank you! Thanks Thanks

Remus, at this stage of the game, ill consider anything!
