I want a pair of wedges that I can wear with black outfits and jeans and everything really.

I am being very lazy and asking for your suggestions here, so feel free to tell me to get off my bum and get to the shops!

Hi WB, like what though? I've seen a gorgeous pair in faith but they are black, so if I were wearing jeans and a white top they would look crap. Would get two pairs but am skint.

Thanks me darling, will probably get to go shopping thurs or Fri, but hate going out without an idea of what to get, especially with DD2 in tow.

Don't two year olds know how important it is to clothes shop in peace!?!

if you go to topshop online I have the ones at the end of the Wedges section, the dark grey ones, but mine are cream.

The think with wedge sandals is you have to think about your legs. A wedge can be good for chunkier legs as it balances out and is more flattering than a delicate shoe. However a strap across the ankle can be very unflattering if your legs aren't long and perfectly toned. Although if you are only going to wear them with trousers and jeans it isn;t as much of an issue.

Not saying you don't have great legs, you may be the original legs 11 Wink

Thamnks for the responses!

Twinset - I will def only be wearing with trousers - I don't have the greatest legs unfortunatley! My ankles are OK and legs not too bad till you reach my knees the it all goes terribly wrong!!! (A nasty shade of whitish grey atm too - fake tan needed asap too!!)

Enid - love the wdges on the top shop site, though perhaps a tad high for me maybe? I don't know. A few years ago I lived in heels, now am exact opposite, though I am looking for sandals with a bit of height..

Viva la Diva site is fab - seen ac ouple of nice pairs on there

Am thinking maybe going for the kind of burnt gold colour (copper!?!?) d'you think that would be a more versatile colour to go for or a non no?

I have \link{http://www.jonesbootmaker.com/ebusiness1/store/product_details.jsp?pid=24991&cid=154&brc=&red=product_list.jsp?id=154,mid=-1,oby=,hos=0,srs=-1,txtSearch=,cmbPriceStart=-1,cmbPriceEnd=-1,page=0,brc=,\these from Jones}, not too high, comfortable, fab with jeans but have not tried with black trousers, they'd probably be OK.
with nice moiturised feet and Chanel Koala nail varnish
love them

bluejelly · 06/06/2006 11:22

Bought some great ones from m and s
They are turquoise strappy wedges, only 35 pounds.
Comfortable and modern.
