A boring boden sale question

I'm trying to remember.... Will they drop prices in the sale again? I'm not that excited about anything but might get some kids basics but I'm being as stingy as possible.

They usually drop again after the initial rush of ordering and people returning items. So things that are out of stock now may have stock back in in a few days when people return stuff. BUT, the longer the sale goes on the harder it will be to get kids basics. I always find the best bargains on adults, not kids sizes.

JennySense · 11/07/2013 14:36

If there's anything you love get it now - I wonder if the 7 day returns is connected to price drops?

alemci · 11/07/2013 16:43

I bought some stuff. Not enthralled at all but DS likes his top. Also bought stuff from HOF. much fairer with postage free over £50 and free returns. Think Johnnie could do something with the postage if you spend over a certain amount.

HOF postage only £3.

Hamwidgeandcheps · 11/07/2013 19:22

It's not that boring I was wondering the same. Dd1 wants more everyday cardigans

HRHwheezing · 11/07/2013 21:00

Yes, there will be clearance in a few days. If you buy it and it's still in stock for clearance they will refund the difference.

emsyj · 11/07/2013 22:45

So glad I saw this, I got my sale parcel yesterday and will be returning about half of it but didn't know I had to get a wriggle on! Just ordered my CollectPlus label and will return tomorrow...

QuiteOldGal · 12/07/2013 10:56

Some further reductions now, still no free delivery code though.

But they may drop again and there will be some returns and hopefully a free delivery code. I don't really need anything so I'm going to try and hang on and get some real bargains.

rubylovesshopping · 12/07/2013 11:55

Saw further reductions but still not on the things I may have ordered am also going to hang on .

missbopeep · 12/07/2013 11:58

One tip- if you can wait until their AW stuff is out- in 2 weeks- the clearance stuff will still be on the site, then you can order new stuff with usual free P&P and sale stuff too- but you take the risk of not much left- though IME there are a lot of sale returns and you just need to keep looking.

missbopeep · 12/07/2013 16:25

It's now 60% off if anyone wants to know.

JennySense · 12/07/2013 16:36

How do you claim back the difference?

missbopeep · 12/07/2013 17:23

Ring them Jenny.

QuiteOldGal · 12/07/2013 17:39

I tried to claim back the difference once and was told to send the stuff back and reorder at the cheaper price Confused. So I did as I had free return labels.

I think it depends on who you speak to when you ring up

I always keep my spare free returns labels for sale stuff and unforseen circumstances Grin

Pearlearring0 · 12/07/2013 19:32

I made my first Boden order this week, was a bit miffed about the cost of shipping. When item arrived I discovered they charge to to send it back! Luckily item is a keeper.

needasilverlining · 13/07/2013 09:19

I'm stalking a couple of items - when do we reckon the 70% discount kicks in Grin

missbopeep · 13/07/2013 10:27

End of next week when the preview items should be in stock- I have a large order in but reckon most as usual will go back.

needasilverlining · 13/07/2013 11:00

Hmm, think I will try to hold off but keep an eye on my wish list and order if stock getting low.

HRHwheezing · 13/07/2013 17:06

Also, if there's something you want not in stock give them a ring they have stuff in stock that haven't been loaded on to the web yet.
Use your returns labels in the sale.

keepmoving · 13/07/2013 21:59

How can they insist on a 7 day return? I thought the distance selling act states min 14 days? (In a panic to send stuff back!)

QuiteOldGal · 14/07/2013 07:50

I've sent sale stuff back after 7 days and got the money back, it just depends who processes it I think. If not you will get credit on your account for about 3 months I think or it may be a year now, I'm not sure.

I think its 7 working days from the day after you receive your goods.
