Would matching children be unbearably twee?

We're having an anniversary party in a couple of weeks time. Nothing formal, just a BBQ in the pub garden and a few friends. But still, it's a good excuse for a new dress and a smart outfit for the children!

I have a son of nine and a daughter of seven. They both love to 'dress up' and look smart, so I've earmarked a smart shirt and a pretty dress for them. Only now I look at my basket it occurs to me that they are both the same colour. And it's quite a bold colour so would be fairly noticeable.

Would it be terribly twee for them to match? Or would it look quite cute. I can't decide.

I think sweet - especially as you chose the outfits unintentionally so they won't be identical styles etc. Never matched my children's clothes intentionally but I sometimes find we all colour coordinate a bit just because the same colours suit them (and me!). They probably have similar colouring so will look nice in the same colours.

Happy Anniversary!! Grin

I think cute.

I quite often dress my boys in matching or co-ordinating for smart.

I don't want to link to the outfits as there's only one of the dress left! Just in case someone else fancies it too! They're both a kind of petrol blue though ...
