Big ugly troll feet and Summer. :(

So...I have big ugly troll feet. I do. There's just no getting around it. The rest of me is fine....but it's only in recent years that I've actually worn sandals. I never had the confidence before.

I try to minimize the effect of them by keeping them well manicured and choosing sandals which show as little off as possible. but I wonder...should I always use neutral polish or can I use a bright one sometimes? I thought bright colours could actually distract from the broad, twisted expanse?

They're pretty ugly.

You'd be amazed how many people hate their feet! Mine aren't big (4 or 5) but I hate my long toes, they're like fingers. But as I've gotten older I've realised that most people are too worried looking at their own ugly feet to bother about anyone elses! So I now get a lovely pedicure (beige/greige and pinks are nice but I've also tried brights and as long as your toe nails are not problematic can look very nice), sand 'em all down so no hideous cracked heels and a bit of Sally Hansen to take the edge of the whiteness. Also try to find sandals that flatter your foot shape best - work out whether something like a peep toe, toe post or grecian strappy will suit you best. Go for it - bet they're not as bad as mine!

Thanks Jeez. I have worked out that sandals with lots of straps look best on me...never the thin, stringy type...also, my heels get so bad that I literally have to sand them down. Blush I would NEVER subject a pedicurist to my feet. Doing them myself keeps me flexible too! Grin

All feet are funny looking, and many of them have weird lumps bumps and calluses. No one else is spending time over-analysing your feet, I'd just get on with it and enjoy summer if I were you!

This article may make you feel better OP?

But if you want to deflect attention from your feet I'd guess bright colours might be a bad idea.
