Usually wear no foundation in summer but this year have bad skin - don't know why, and have to wear foundation to cover it. Wear lighter, shimmery eyeshadows and more tinted lip glosses rather than full on matt lipstick.

nailpolish · 05/06/2006 17:38

i also change my moisturiser to a higher spf

have you tried the new simple moisturiser - high spf - £12

cupcakes · 05/06/2006 17:39

I knew there was going to be a thread on this soon.
I have started wearing my chanel vitalumiere (gasp) again as it has spf. It's formulation suits me better in summer it would seem.
Also bought a bronzer stick from origins which I'm using sparingly - on eyelids and cheeks.
Mascara
lipbalm

Much prefer summer makeup.

Have just bought a lovely sparkly eyeshadow from Bourjois called 'Suivez mon regard' in 'Ambre' I think (can't be bothered to go and check)
it's darkish gold colour and really lovely even in day time
but I don't wear lipstick, just a lipgloss, so doesn't look weirdly over made up, just more cheerful and summery

BadHair · 05/06/2006 17:59

Slight changes here. In the summer I wear brown or grey mascara, rather than my winter black.
Lipstick becomes lighter but only by a few shades. Still a sort of pinky red.
Never wear eyeshadow - I look really overdone and tarty if I do.
I don't really do foundation, just powder or light tinted moisturizer all year round. Depends on if skin is looking tired or not.

kate100 · 05/06/2006 17:59

Definitely, I wear sparkly eyeshadow in the summer and change the colours. Usually pink to match my summer handbag Wink

I knew there would be a thread on this somewhere. Revitalising this thread to ask - does anyone know of any good tinted moisturiser with a big SPF - am thinking around 20-25?

I am wearing a bit of vitalumiere atm which had 15 spf but wanted a bit more (and lighter) base for summer.....
