Is the Rigby and Pellar Cambridge branch as good as the London branches at fitting?

I remember feeling really confident with the "middle-aged" lady who served me at their London branch about 20 years ago. But when I hovered outside the Cambridge branch on a recent visit to the area with a friend I saw a young, bored looking assistant leaning all over the counter and it didn't inspire me with the same confidence to pay ££££.

So has anyone been fitted there and are they happy with them?

Never been to the London one but got fitted at the Cambridge one and was very happy with the service. Don't let them talk you into buying matching knickers though. £37 for a scrap of synthetic lace... Grin

Thanks! I need more than a scrap of lace to cover my a@@@! Can you give me an idea of roughly how much I'd be spending for a decent bra there before I go bowling in next time I visit my friends in Cambridge, then collapse on the shop floor with shock?

There's a Bravissimo in Cambridge. They'd definitely be easier on your pocket and I find their ranges for DD+ cups much prettier than R&P.

I agree with sorrel.
I've been going to the Cambridge bravissimo for years.
I tried the R&P once earlier this year. They had nothing in my size and made me feel like an oversized freak :(

I'm not too big really (was 36/38 A/B before the enlightenment, now wearing 34DD from Matalan until I can go somewhere nicer) so will Bravissimo be small enough for my limited bosom?

Yep, Bravissimo stock 34DD (and a D) www.bravissimo.com/products/lingerie/#/1?back=34&cup=dd

Yup, I'd eat my hat if Bravissimo can't help and they are more reasonable price wise too.

Ilovemyteddy · 10/07/2013 07:05

I paid about £65 for each bra. I agree about Bravissimo. They are definitely cheaper and the bras I've bought from there fit just as well. I only went to R&P because I've lost a lot of weight and felt like I needed a proper fitting. Once you're in there though it's hard to say no!

I took my mum to R&P a couple of months ago for her birth day. She wanted one bra and left with four!

outtolunchagain · 10/07/2013 08:03

I would second Bravissimo in Cambridge , I found them really helpful

ihatethecold · 10/07/2013 11:13

I would definitely go back to R+P in Cambridge, lovely staff.

Sooo expensive though. £90 for 1 bra and it really has stretched in the few months that I've been wearing it.Blush
