Help me find an alternative to Birkenstocks - please!!

Please can you help me find an alternative to Birkenstocks?

I am totally flat footed, so I can't wear any sandals or summery shoes with flat footbeds - I need something shaped, with support under where my arch would be if I had one.

Birkenstocks are perfect for this - I can wear them all day without any discomfort, but I don't like how they look and I hate how they turn the soles of my feet black.

I have tried fit flops and found them really uncomfortable.

Any suggestions??

Thank you!

try the reef thick foam flip flops - they really mould to your sole. i have foot problems and find them really comfortable.
other surfy-type brands do moulded sole flip flops, with decent arch support too - i had a great pair from o'neil a few years ago.

These have a similarly shaped footbed to birkies but they are very flexible so I find them much easier to walk in. Just wore mine 4 or 5 hours walking a day on holiday and they are super comfortable, look fab with a bright pedi and tanned feet too. There are more sandal type styles too with the same footbed and deconstructed sole.

I love Scholl Biminis - a bit more delicate than Birkenstocks IMO - but still comfortable.

I bought a pair of Scholl sandals last summer, from their Bioprint range. They're still going strong and are so comfy, despite being on my feet in them all day at work. They are not anywhere near as clunky as Birkenstocks, which was my issue as I have skinny legs/ankles.

This summer I've swapped my birkies for croc sandals (not the ugly traditional cayman style). They are really comfy and feet are clean and you wouldn't know they are crocs at all.
