So if it's not cleanse, tone & moisturise anymore?

What am I supposed to be doing?

I'm getting really confused about developing a sustainable skincare routine as I approach 40 44

I would say I have normal/dry/dehydrated skin - few breakouts.

This is what I am doing:

Morning:
some kind of hot cloth cleansing - liz earle/yes to carrots - x3 a week use a clarisonic with the cleanser and finish with hot cloth
A quick sweep with a Liz Earle toner as I sometimes can still feel the cleanser iyswim
Medik8 CE Tetra Serum
Then either sunscreen [LRP] or BB [LRP or Dr Brandt]
Bit or lot of slap depending on day

Evening
Wipe over with a cleansing wipe if been using foundation just to get the worst off
Hot cloth cleanse
Tone
Then moisturise with Trilogy Rosehip Oil, Liz Earl Superskin, or Olay Regenerist
St Ives Timeless Skin on Norkage area and elbows

Am I doing things in the right order?
Anything I'm missing?
What do YOU do?

who says you are doing anything wrong?

-I cleanse with l'oreal cleansing milk- dirt cheap and removes make up easily and gently
'-tone' with a cotton pad wet with warm water ( no need to use a toner- they are waste of money)
-apply day cream- currently Clinique Even Better as have a few slight brown patches
-apply sun block every day- Clinique City Block spf40
-apply make up

evening
-as above but use eye make up remover as well.
-night cream is Clinique super something or other, in a green tube.

Once a week or so use Clinique 7 day scrub.
