Me too
That is amazing
I sold half a dozen things in the last week on eBay but need to do more and then get the bin bags out.

We are moving and I didn't want them to come with me . I am such a clothes hoarder as I don't stay the same size and have had 2 pregnancies . I just did it without thinking and made dh take them first thing before I changed my mind. I can actually get in my wardrobe and see my clothes !

A bit late now I know, but do you not have a cash for clothes near you. After doing a boot sale and Ebaying the very good stuff I took six or so bags to cash for clothes and got £20.

Have been very hard up of late, so had to sell, couldn't just give to charity.

Did you register for gift aid with them? If so, they'll write to you and tell you how much your donations raised.

bishboschone · 05/07/2013 14:05

I don't work and I think you need to be a tax payer . My sister runs the charity shop( cancer research) so I know she will get good money. I'm lucky enough to not need the money and my dad has recently died with cancer so it felt the right thing to do.

I did this, and registered with the charity shop so that they could claim Giftaid. 3 months later they emailed me to say thanks for the £660 I'd raised for them! Blush
I was seriously tempted to ask for half the funds back!
Well done on the clear out, I bet you feel amazing?

bishboschone · 05/07/2013 20:07

Blimey !! That's a lot !! Although I would imagine she will make about that from me too. I'm really pleased , they have been like a chain around my neck hanging around in the loft and stuff. I will get rid of more next time and not buy any clothes for a while. Smile #lessismore !!!
