What do you think of this coat- Jaeger trench

I want a classic navy trench and have been searching for ages. Have seen this. It's v.expensive so want to be sure.

Do you think it is classic and if anyone knows the brand, do you think it will last and be an 'investment' piece?

Buy it. Its style and colour makes it so versitile and that collar and lapel is stunning.

Yes totally classic.
Just make sure the waist line is correct do the belt goes round at the same level as your waist.

Jaeger is a classic brand but tends to come up tall so if you're a short arse, it may not work for you. That model will be 5'8 at least.

Thank you, you've convinced me! I'm 5ft 8 so should hopefully be okay. Also, as if fated, just found out that it's down to £149 on the Jaeger site!! Just bought it, hope that it suits me. I haven't spent so much on a coat, even at sale price. I'm trying to invest in some classic, good quality items so that I can look better and not need to buy so much. Initial spend to reduce future spending, IYKWIM

Still waiting but had an email today telling me to expect delivery tomorrow. Exciting, hope it doesn't arrive whilst at docs getting dc's jabs...

Arrived and......
It's a completely different coat to the one pictured. Different belt and mid blue colour rather than the French navy. Am extremely annoyed at Jaeger and think that it's ridiculous that they, yet again, have used false advertising.

It is made from a lovely soft cotton but I wanted a dark navy trench like the one pictured not a true navy. The belt is laughable, it's about 1.5mtrs long with a fixed buckle at end!

Oh well, I hope they fund my postage!!

I ordered a dress last week from then that was advertised as 100% cotton. It was 80% polyester! Am quite wary of the brand now.

Anyway search for navy trench continues....
